Valve Lock Outs

Valve Lockouts ensures that any machinery that is valve operated stays switched off during service or maintenance work. Valve lockouts function by attaching a sturdy lockout device over the operational part of the valve. It is then secured in place with either the use of hasps or padlocks.

Valve lockout devices prevent valves from being opened while downstream pipe and equipment are being worked on. The valve is closed to de-energize the pipe before the lockout is applied. A padlock is installed through the lockout to ensure it can’t be removed by unauthorized personnel.
