Group Lock Out Boxes
Group Lockout Boxes are storage devices that can be used to capture keys for the effective lockout of large equipment. Each lockout point on the equipment is secured with a single padlock.
The purpose of a group lock box used to hold the single key that is attached to the equipment to be locked out. Each team member uses their lock and tag on the lock-box. This ensures that the equipment cannot be turned on until all locks are removed and every team member is safe.
Under the a standard group lockout/tagout requirement, a single authorized employee must assume the overall responsibility for the control of hazardous energy for all members of the group while the servicing or maintenance work is in progress.
